Those of you that know me well know I wear my heart on my sleeve and I love being involved in anything that will make someone's day brighter. So you will understand when I say how much I loved what happened in the second to last week of school this term.In week 9 organised by the lovely Jackie (who just happens to be sister to the equally lovely Lianne) we had an "angel" week. We all drew the name of a member of staff and we had to do something nice for that person that week. I drew Dani's name and was absolutely delighted to be able to do something for her, she has been so lovely and supportive to me this year. Of course this was all a secret so I had no idea who had drawn me.
First I made Dani this canvas and left it in her "cubby hole". It is, of course, totally inspired by Max and Audrey
and uses the new gorgeous Graphic 45 fashionista papers. Dani knows I love to create and so as soon as she opened it she knew I was her angel apparently (according to my sources lol).

And then on Thursday I made this and popped a couple of cupcakes in it for her morning tea.
And what did my angel do for me? Well there wasn't a day went by that i didn't find a little yummy something in my cubby, from a luxury flake to a container full of smarties and bikkies. But the most amazing thing was...on Wednesday I receive a note - "you deserve a break, your dinner is in the fridge" and there in the fridge was a lasagne dish with a note saying "Jo's dinner" on top of it - what a sweet thing to do. (Actually it was hubby who was getting the break...he cooks most nights lol.) I later found out my angel was Erica, one of our teacher aides, what a thoughtful person!
Anyhoo speaking of angels...I am involved with this: http://www.everydayhero.com.au/creating_hope, you can read about it here
Such a great idea, and cause and wow that piece of artwork is going to be stunning! I will definitely be donating!
